The power of the Holy Spirit resides in each of us. We are experiencing what it means to be alive, wild, and free. The power of the Holy Spirit cannot be tamed. There’s nothing that can restrain the Holy Spirit from accomplishing the will of our Father in Heaven. The Holy Spirit, living in us, allows us to accomplish far more than we could possibly imagine under our own strength and will.
We are no longer held hostage by our past. Now, our past shows others the power and glory of a God who saves and restores. We have come back to life by the grace of a God who desires us to be alive and free. No longer are we held back from experiencing life because of our pasts. God wants us to experience a freedom that is wild and not restrained by the chains we once locked against ourselves.
God is the most joy-filled being in existence. God is also wild, and as C. S. Lewis wrote, “He’s not safe, but He is good.” God is big, scary, and powerful, but also lowly, humble, compassionate, loving, forbearing, and personal. In our new lives, we get to experience being wild and free. God has given us freedom, but not so we would go back into another cage of addiction. His freedom is given for us to love with a passion that can never be tamed.
