Know My Voice
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27
The world will tell us that if we talk to Christ we are a little off but if we hear Christ talking back to us then we have mental health issues. It might be that the reason there is so much depression, anxiety, hopelessness, isolation, and despair is that the world is not talking and listening to what Christ is saying. We are labeled insane by the world’s standards. But if we look at all that is happening in the world, we see a different picture.

Christ responds to us when we talk to Him. Sometimes, we hear His still, small voice of peace. Other times, He speaks through different people, like our sponsors and accountability partners. Then there are the times we hear Him in circumstances. Christ will always speak to us through His Word also.

Having communication with Christ confirms that we are in His family. When we don’t hear Christ speaking to us, we don’t have a relationship with Him. Christ will also lead us past places that will keep us stuck and make us stumble. Being in communication with Christ keeps us on the right path and away from danger. As Christians in recovery, we strive to listen to Christ. His gentle voice is always calling us to Him and away from the insanity of this world.

Know My Voice
Rhythms TV
Father God, Help me to hear and discern the voice of Christ. I want to hear the still small voice that is stronger than an earthquake and more powerful than a storm. Your voice is what I long to hear. I will listen closely and know Your voice.  Amen.
