We are all going to face obstacles in life. Christ never promised us a problem free life when we follow Him. Christ tells us in John 16:33 that we are going to have difficulties. Each of us is going to face huge mountains and deep valleys. Sometimes, it might seem like the journey is too grueling, the mountains too high, and the valleys too deep. But, Christ also tells us to take heart. He is with us on this journey, and with Him nothing is impossible.
Recovery is a journey, and with any journey, there are going to be hardships. The path before us at times appears challenging. We might even stumble and fall a few times along the way. The reward for going on this recovery journey is too great to not complete. We move forward with great strides, and at other times, move very slowly.
We are not alone on this road to recovery. Christ and our recovery family are with us every step of the way. Having others with us to share this journey makes our recovery trek seem less difficult. Christ has overcome this world and is guiding us through this amazing journey of recovery. We are a people of constant movement and change. Nothing on the road ahead can alter the course that Christ has planned for us.
