That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:17

Our greatest pain will be our greatest ministry. If we allow God to use our pain for His glory, we will see an amazing transformation in ourselves and how we view our struggles. We begin to see the usefulness of our pain. Our pain always has a purpose. God doesn’t let us experience pain just for the purpose of experiencing pain.

Pain is our passport from one state of being to another. Pain can make us move into directions that we would have never gone if we had remained comfortable. We begin to change when the pain of not growing becomes greater than the pain of growing.

God allows pain in our life. He never causes the pain. That is not in His nature. God is using pain to move us. The problem is, most of us want comfort instead of glory. There is going to be a price each of us pays for staying comfortable instead of growing in Christ. Recovery in Christ is learning how to not trade our potential for security. Pain is our passport out of our comfort zones and into God’s wonderful purpose.
