Prayer
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16
Without prayer, there can be no recovery. Recovery happens because we pray or because we have been prayed for. Prayer has to be the beginning, middle, and end of everything we do in our recovery. Without prayer, we are left to do our recoveries on our own power. Prayer allows us to go beyond our own power and into the realm of God, where He makes all things possible.

We pray for the person who struggles with addiction and we see them come to life in their new found life with Christ. We pray for those who are incarcerated and watch as God makes a way for them out of bondage. We pray for those who are ill and against all expectations, we see them healed.

Without prayer, there can be no recovery. Our time with God is the center point of our recovery. Prayer should always be the first thing we do and not a last resort. Prayer is our time to be with and enjoy a relationship with God. Prayer is personal and powerful. Prayer changes everything. Without prayer, there can be no recovery.

Father God, Thank You for the gift of prayer. It’s in prayer time that I am the closest to You. I long to have time to be with You. My recovery is a prayer to You and You respond to my prayer in abundance. Please be with me as I honor You with the gifts You have given me. Amen.
