Every now and then we hear someone say “God has healed me, I don’t need to do anything. I’m Good”. God does heal us. But He heals us for a purpose. He heals us to be of service. And if God has healed us, then the next logical question should be “where is the fruit of God’s healing?” When we are of comfort to others, we are demonstrating the love God has for us. God’s harvest is plentiful and the seeds we sow in others will grow even more fruit.
We are the people who were comforted when we walked through the doors of recovery. Now we are called to comfort those who are walking through those same doors for the first time. We are called to be of comfort to others. Comforting others with that same comfort we received is how we Glorify God and all that he has done in our lives.
