Christ-centered recovery allows us to live in a way that is completely at odds with the world and often times with the church itself. In Christ-centered recovery, we are afforded the opportunity of being completely transparent with one another.
Living transparently means we no longer need to manage our image with each other. We choose to have people around us whom we can be open and honest. This openness allows us to live life at a whole new level of freedom. This freedom is where the Holy Spirit resides. To have others in our lives that allow us to live transparently takes us to a whole new level of experiencing God.
The very heart of recovery is learning how to be open, honest, and transparent with God and others whom we trust. This process takes time for many of us. Sometimes this process takes years. When we learn to live transparently, we find a new freedom and a new happiness we never imagined existed.
Living transparently takes us to a completely different level of existence. We develop faith and a belief that we can change. We begin to see our value to God. All the old facades we used in the past are no longer needed. God is taking us to new places we have never envisioned.
