Each of us are ordinary people blessed by God with extraordinary purpose. God has chosen each of us to work with Him to build something amazing. We are no longer people without a mission or cause. God had given us a new life and a purpose in this new life.
Before recovery, our main desire was to survive the chaos of our lives. Many of us seemed to be stumbling through life without any meaning or direction. God changed all that when we came into Christ-centered recovery. God gave us relief from the compulsions that were driving us insane. He then comforted us and gave us a place to heal and rest. Now God has given us a rich and fulling life that is full of His good purpose.
No matter where we are in our recoveries, God gives us a simple purpose for our lives. We are to love God and to love others. The natural response to loving God and others is to serve God and others. The struggle that drove us into recovery, is now our greatest ministry. God takes our pain and turns it into the purpose of our new lives. Only God can turn pain into purpose. Only God can give ordinary people extraordinary lives.
