In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Shine your light. Shine brightly in dark places. Shine your light even though people around you curse the light. Shine your light when everything seems hopeless. Shine your light so that everyone will see, and believe, the source of your light.

We are the first light many people will have ever seen when they enter the rooms of recovery. Their lives have been dark and cold for a long time. They might not know how to react to the light. Seeing light emitting from someone can be frightening and confusing but the love that comes from this light is soft and gentle. This light is warm and welcoming.

We were made to shine brightly in this dark world. The light we shine is recovery in Christ and the process of restoration. We are Children of Light. May our sanctuaries of recovery shine brightly and always be a beacon of hope to those who seek Christ and His wonderful path of restoration.

Jesus, let me be Your light in this dark world. Help to shine a bright light into the darkest of places. Make me a beacon of Your love and hope. Thank You for being the Light of the World. Amen.
