but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Christ is teaching us to soar. In recovery, we now have wings like eagles and Christ is taking us to new heights. Each time we let go of the things that weigh us down, we get to fly a little longer and a little higher. We let go of our hurts, habits, and hang-ups that kept us tied to the ground and now we are flying higher than we ever thought possible.

We are people who have taken flight. Before coming to recovery, we were Earthbound beings without a way to break free of the chains that tied us down. Christ has freed us and now He’s teaching us to fly. Each day we are learning how to fly to new heights and go to new levels in our recoveries.

Our perspectives are changing. We see everything from a different vantage point. We no longer just see horizontally. Now we also see vertically. There is so much more depth and clarity in how we look at everything. Recovery has taught us to soar and to see life from a whole new viewpoint.

Today’s Prayer

Jesus, I want to soar above the ground on eagles wings. Help to let go of the fear that keeps me bound to the ground. Help me to see with depth and clarity all that is going on in my life. Thank You for showing me how to soar and experience life from a new perspective. Amen.
