God takes our greatest pain and uses it for our ministries. If we allow God to use our pain for His glory, we will see amazing transformations in ourselves and how we view our struggles. We begin to see the usefulness of our pain. Our pain always has a purpose. God doesn’t let us experience pain just for the purpose of experiencing pain.
Pain is how God moves us past comfort and into His design for our lives. Pain can make us move in directions that we would have never gone had we remained comfortable. We begin to change when the pain of being stagnant becomes greater than the pain of growing.
God allows pain in our life. He never causes pain. That is not in His nature. God is using our pain to move us. The problem is that most of us trade our potential for comfort. There is a high cost for comfort each of us pays when we choose not to grow in Christ. Recovery in Christ enables us to step past the pain of our pasts and use that pain to glorify God. Our pain no longer defines who we are. We know the cost of comfort is a life lived outside of God’s amazing plans for us.
