Transform

It is even possible (after all, it happened to you!) for light to turn the thing it shines upon into light also. Ephesians 5:13

Why did you come into recovery?

Was it to stop the pain from years of addiction, codependency, depressions, or a thousand other forms of despair? Was it to get sober, or to simply become a better person? There are countless reasons why we come into the rooms of miracles. Each one of us has a testimony to what drove us into recovery.

Here’s the deal. Although we all came into recovery for our own reasons, Christ has a singular plan for each of us. And get this… it has nothing to do with getting sober, stopping codependent behavior, or being a better person. Christ wants to change us. Christ wants to transform us into something new and wonderful. Christ wants to transform us into light.

Christ is shining a bright light on each of us. At first, we think He wants to expose all the things we have hidden with this light. But, the bright light does more than expose. This bright light also transforms us into His Light. We are now Children of Light. We are being transformed daily by a process of renewal. Christ is making us light inside and out.

Crave

Father God, you are the creator of all that is light. Your light turns whatever it touches into light. Make me Your light so that in Your light I can show the world Your Glory. I pray all this in Your Son’s name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
