Christ wants all of us to do something that is essential to our recoveries. Christ wants us to do what we say and mean what we say. Christ wants us to be a people of integrity and honesty. When someone tells us they need prayer, we should stop what we’re doing to pray with them. Instead of telling someone we will pray for them later, or they are in our prayers, we must share the love of Christ with them by demonstrating that love through prayer.
Imagine the difference in the world if each of us would stop and pray with each other when prayer is requested. There would be no more praying for someone later. One of the most personal things we can do is pray with someone. The connection each of us has to one another, and to Christ, is powerful. Corporate prayer connects us to one another in a way that is deep and meaningful.
Christ is calling for us to step forward in integrity. As Believers, we are to be bold in our prayers and in our love for one another. We are to be less religious and more relational, with one another and with Christ. We can’t just spout out scriptures and then not walk in love with others. Our relationships with Christ grow by sharing His love through simple prayer with others.
