Take a good look at God’s wonders—
they’ll take your breath away.
He converted sea to dry land;
travelers crossed the river on foot.
Now isn’t that cause for a song?

Psalm 66:5-6 MSG

When we look at where we once were and where we are today, we can’t help but marvel at the wonder of all that Christ has accomplished in our lives. Christ has taken the destruction of our past lives and turned it into amazing construction. We are no longer the people we once were. Christ has filled our lives with His awe and wonder.

There is a beauty that comes from brokenness. We see people whose lives have been devastated by all manner of addictions and trauma. They come seeking relief in the rooms of recovery, and they encounter the first sparks of hope. They come back each week, and over time. we see living pictures of lives transformed.

We experience wonder in renewal and restoration at each of our recovery meetings. Watching life spring from the ashes of devastation is humbling and breathtaking. We are blessed, beyond measure, to witness Christ at work in us and in those who share our recovery journeys. Seeing beauty rise from ashes is no longer something we just read about in Scripture. We see the rise of beauty when those who seek Christ find Him and learn to trust in Him.
